The second step in the Icy Blonde routine, and it is pigmented too.

Bleached blonde is porous, which is why it grabs tone quickly and also loses it quickly. Conditioning is not the optional half of toning.

It is what makes the result last past the next two washes, and it is what stops platinum hair feeling like straw.

After cleansing with Icy Blonde Shampoo, gently squeeze excess water from the hair so it is damp but not dripping.
Apply the conditioner evenly, concentrating heavily on the mid-lengths and ends where brassiness is typically most pronounced.
Leave in for a few minutes, or purposefully extend the duration for a more intense, luxurious ash deposit.
Rinse thoroughly with cool water to tightly lock in the neutralizing pigments and seal the cuticle.

It’s as good as most purple shampoos

I tried so many purple shampoos. Don’t think the purple condition is worth the money. Feels/smells like I’m putting smashed grapes on my hair. Also, when you rinse after conditioning you will notice you don’t get the purple stream of water you do when you rinse the shampoo. I did like one of the sample shampoos they sent with my order. It felt like salt scrub for my scalp… but can’t figure out which shampoo the sample was. Didn’t save🤭

Let me preface this review with saying I do like the tone and the feel of the conditioner itself. But the SMELL!! It smells like a purple lollipop and it's soooo strong. To me, it's just off-putting. Now, I am 53, so probably not the age demographic you are targeting, but it is a great product for gray/silver hair. If there was a way to get a no scent or light scent of this product I would stay with it. For now, I just can't buy another tube of safety handle grape lollipop smell conditioner.

The conditioner (not the shampoo) contains a formaldehyde releaser (Diazolidinyl Urea). I got the conditioner without checking ingredients first. After one use I got the biggest back acne flare up I've ever had. I'm more careful with the product now and don't get the acne flare ups anymore, and I truly love the toning properties of this conditioner and no other product has ever given me these results, but I'm not getting this again because of this ingredients. It would be great if you could re-formulate product!
