The between-washes step.

Its toning dyes are violet and blue rather than the line's black pigment, and it goes on without water and stays in, so you can knock back warmth on a day you were not planning to wash your hair.

Brass does not wait for wash day.

Light blonde picks up warmth from hard water, heat styling and sunlight, and this is the way to correct it without another wash, which on bleached hair is a cost in itself.

Milk protein conditioning goes in alongside the pigment.

Shake the bottle vigorously to ensure the special black pigments are fully integrated into the liquid base.
Spray evenly over clean, damp hair from a distance of approximately 4–6 inches (10–15 cm).
Comb through the hair to ensure a uniform, edge-to-edge distribution of the toning pigment, then proceed with drying.
As a daily touch-up between washes, lightly spray over completely dry hair from a distance of approximately 11–12 inches (30 cm).

Pro tip: For highly porous ends that tend to grab cool tones too quickly, lightly mist those specific areas with a standard, non-pigmented leave-in conditioner first to equalize the hair's porosity before applying the toning spray.
