Multi-molecular is the part that matters: different sizes of the molecule sit at different depths, so some of it holds water at the surface and some of it holds water further in.

It is a foam rather than a cream because weight is what stops most people using a leave-in every day.

This one goes in on damp hair, disappears, and is doing its work while the hair dries, which is when moisture is easiest to lose.

Towel-dry freshly washed hair until it is damp rather than wet, so the foam is not diluted before it can absorb.
Shake the can, then dispense a small amount into your palm. Start with less than you think, it goes further than a cream.
Work it through the mid-lengths and ends, where dryness shows first. Comb through to spread it evenly.
Leave it in. Do not rinse. Then dry and style as you normally would.

Pro tip: On fine hair, keep it off the roots and concentrate everything from the ears down. That is where the dryness is, and it is what stops a leave-in flattening the top.

I like it, but the smell is different. The fragrance is different and I don’t like the smell as well. The other one smelled like vanilla whipped cream and this has a citrusy scent and barely any whipped cream smell, but it still works great I don’t know if I ordered the wrong one, but maybe.

My boyfriend got me this

My boyfriend got me this as a gift and I instantly fell in love with the smell and the texture. It’s so fun to use! So I went ahead and ordered another bottle for myself. This leaves the hair shiny and wet-looking (though that can wear off) and most importantly — so soft! It doesn’t really have hold so you can’t style with it so much, but I like how it feels on the hair much more than pomade or clay.
