Spray or foam?
Both stay in the hair. The sprays go on quickly and spread easily through longer hair. The whipped cream foams are worked through by hand and give you more control over where the product lands. It is a preference rather than a rule, so pick whichever one you will actually use.
How to use one
On damp hair after washing, not on dry hair, and never rinsed out. Work it into the roughest parts first rather than spreading it evenly. Damage is never even, and the ends and the areas that have been coloured or heat-styled hardest are where a leave-in earns its place. Everything else needs less than you think.
